Moving into new house in 2 weeks and need to finally get some of our own lawn maintenance equipment. Whats peoples experiences with 2nd hand whipper snippers and mowers? The bucks are obviously a consideration, and 2nd hand is cheaper, but is there anything in particular to look out for when buying 2nd hand gear like this? Lawns aren't huge, so they wouldn't be getting a massive workout, just after something cost effective and reliable enough.
TIA. _________________ ----------------

Gee.....I got onto this one in a hurry eh?
OK - Second hand stuff can be fraught with danger, unless of course you are buying from a reputable shop that gives warranty on their serviced or reconditioned equipment
Buying one from a garage sale etc...you don't know the history, or if there are problems just waiting for you to be mowing your lawns before presenting themselves....
We have some fully reco'd (as in rebuilt) Victas starting at $220ish.....and whippers from $100. These all carry full warranty.
Feel free to contact me either via here or PM if you would like further info _________________ www.mowersandchainsaws.com.au
