Thought id share something I found worked really well.

My house is full brick so when fastening larger items I need to use dyna bolts, the problem is if you get a weak/soft brick they just won't tighten and you end up with a bolt you cant get out or tighten...... major pain, It can also be a problem with extruded bricks the ones with holes in then - looking from the top.

I’ve just finished an addition made of besser blocks, had the same problem fixing door jabs and stud walls.

I tried a different fastener, it looks like an over grown self tapping screw, really course thread, they work a treat, all of them (30) tightened without a problem.

I think they are the best thing since..... dyna bolts
